TDM Pseudowire Remote Gateways

RAD’s carrier-class TDM pseudowire remote gateways are customer-located equipment (CLE) for extending TDM-based services to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) over IP, Ethernet and MPLS networks.

Enterprises use the gateways to converge voice, fax, modem, and data traffic over their IP/Ethernet-based access networks while maintaining existing legacy telephony equipment. The gateways eliminate the need for point-to-point, E1/T1, E3/T3 leased lines and are transparent to all signaling protocols. The devices are compact and easy to install.

The TDM pseudowire gateways enable carriers to deploy traditional leased line services utilizing their lower cost packet-switched networks for transport. The high-capacity remote gateways may also be situated at a carrier’s POP or central office to aggregate circuits over IP/Ethernet networks. Alternative carriers can use TDM pseudowire gateways to add leased line capabilities to their service package while mobile transport providers can use the devices to support revenue-generating backhaul services.
