Deploy cost-effective voice and data wide area network solutions for industrial enterprises and mining over satellite and wireless connections.
RAD’s Vmux-110 voice trunking gateway, in combination with the company’s Airmux broadband wireless radio (or third-party satellite or wireless platforms), ensure a cost-competitive solution for transporting various data and voice services to multiple remote sites over bandwidth-constrained links. The Vmux-110 achieves a 16:1 voice compression using voice activity detection and silence suppression technology, as well as TDMoIP multiplexing. The extra bandwidth capacity can be used for data.
The Vmux-110 contains four or eight FXS/FXO/E&M voice ports or a single E1/T1 as well as a user LAN port. On the network side, the Vmux-110 has E1, T1, serial, and IP uplinks and is compatible with all types of VSAT interfaces. RAD’s Airmux broadband wireless multiplexer can achieve up to 100 Mbps throughput (200 Mbps aggregated). Maximum reach is 120 kilometers (75 miles).
