RAD Data Communications announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) has named its ETX-204A Carrier Ethernet SLA Assurance Device a winner of the 2010 NGN Leadership Award, presented by TMC’s publication, NGN Magazine.
The Second Annual NGN Leadership Award recognizes the growth, evolution and distinction between the applications and services designed for next generation networks and the enabling technologies that make them possible. RAD Data Communications and the ETX-204A have been recognized in the “Network Technology” category.
The ETX-204A is a Carrier Ethernet demarcation device that delivers SLA-based Layer 2 and Layer 3 business services to the customer premises over native Ethernet access. It provides delineation between the user network and the transport network for those services, as well as for mobile backhaul.
With extensive service delivery, performance monitoring, and service protection/redundancy capabilities, the ETX-204A transports up to one gigabit of user throughput with differentiated quality of service and end-to-end monitoring to ensure SDH/SONET-like performance and 99.999 percent reliability.
“RAD Data Communications is committed to helping service providers stay competitive and profitable by rolling out services faster and more efficiently, “ said Eitan Schwartz, Vice President, Pseudowire and Ethernet Access at RAD Data Communications, Inc. “The ETX-204A is a key component in accomplishing this, and we are honored that TMC and NGN Magazine have affirmed its place among the most important service provider solutions today."
“RAD Data Communications has been recognized for their exceptional work in advancing NGN services and technologies. The ETX-204A has proven it is exceptional, and its innovation has contributed to the transformation of the industry,” stated Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “Congratulations to the entire team at RAD Data Communications, and I look forward to more innovations in the coming year.”
The 2010 NGN Leadership Award winners can be found in the May/June 2010 issue of NGN Magazine.
