RAD Data Communications has joined the TM Forum, a global industry association focused on simplifying the complexity of running a service provider’s business.
“RAD expects to be an active contributor to the organization’s Interface Program (TIP) and its Multi-Technology Operations System Interface (MTOSI), in particular in the area of service provisioning,” explains Ben Kapon, Product Line Manager at RAD Data Communications. MTOSI is an interface standard that simplifies OSS inter-working between vendors, technologies, and systems.
Among TM Forum’s 775 member companies from 195 countries are China Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, Korea Telecom, KPN, Reliance, Sprint, Telecom Italia, Telefónica, Verizon, and Vodafone, as well as numerous corporations, industries, universities, research institutions, consultants, and government agencies. The Forum offers all its members a unique environment for the entire value-chain to collaborate on pressing industry issues, helping companies of all sizes gain a competitive edge and the flexibility and speed they need to underpin future growth.
“Our collaboration with the TM Forum provides us with yet another valuable opportunity to work closely with major global service providers,” Kapon notes. “This will assist us in continuing to develop solutions that respond to their own unique requirements.”
