RAD Data Communications Appoints Volker Bendzuweit to VP Key Carrier Accounts

Former Head of RAD Germany to Lead Expanded Sales Structure Reflecting Company’s Success as Strategic Supplier for Tier 1 Operators

RAD Data Communications has announced that Volker Bendzuweit, who has served since 2001 as General Manager of RAD Germany, has been promoted to the newly established position of Vice President of Key Carrier Accounts.

In this capacity, Bendzuweit is in charge of the company’s Key Carrier Account Teams, responsible for business development, selling and support of RAD’s main Tier 1 carrier accounts. Bendzuweit will be based in Munich but will also become a member of RAD’s executive management team at the company’s international headquarters in Tel Aviv.

“For decades now RAD has worked closely with Tier 1 carriers to custom design access solutions that comply with their specific network architecture, technological and market needs,” notes Efraim “Effi” Wachtel, RAD President and CEO. “In recent years, RAD has become a strategic partner with several Tier 1 carriers in their Carrier Ethernet access platforms, cellular backhaul networks and Next Generation migration scenarios,” he continues. “Our decision to group all the account teams under high-level management indicates the importance we attribute to supporting these customers and building a strong and lasting relationship with them.”

Bendzuweit, 44, is a graduate of the University of Bochum, where he majored in telecommunications engineering. Before joining RAD, he served as Sales Director at ITM Germany, a local RAD partner.
