Thirteen participating vendors under EANTC's guidance performed a wide variety of interoperability tests conducted over a realistic test network during a two weeks hot staging in Berlin.
Testing concentrated on the latest industry advances. In detail, attention was paid to developments in areas related to MPLS, such as performance monitoring and multicast VPNs.
This year, the testing also focused on packet and optical transport network integration like GMPLS integration, OTN protection switching and ASON. Additionally, different mobile backhaul solutions were tested, such as NTPv4 and clock distribution methods such as IEEE 1588:2008 and Synchronous Ethernet.
The results were presented live between February 10-12 at the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress in Paris.
