RAD Data Communications views corporate citizenship as a central element in its work ethic. Given its leadership role in the industry, the company believes that it should also serve a leadership role in developing and funding innovative programs that benefit the community around us.
In order to support higher education, for example, RAD has awarded dozens of scholarships to outstanding university students majoring in engineering and computer science who otherwise would be unable to finance the full costs of their tuition. In a typical year, fifty such scholarships, worth over $250,000, are allocated.
Another special project is RAD’s contribution of computer rooms to community centers, educational institutions and libraries, especially those that serve children from disadvantaged backgrounds. We view these contributions as a means to assist in the children’s development and, in so doing, help reduce social and educational gaps. More than ten such projects are undertaken each year by RAD at a cost of approximately one-half million dollars.
RAD employees are also encouraged to volunteer their time and expertise as tutors in extracurricular educational programs that broaden and enrich the learning experiences of students who will be the engineers of the access network solutions of the future.
RAD is proud of these and many other similar contributions to the community, and proud as well of the corporate culture that encourages this commitment.
