Voice and Ethernet to Remote Buildings over Fiber Campus

Your Needs

Inexpensively extend voice, LAN and filtered Internet out to remote campus buildings by utilizing the existing fiber infrastructure. This needs to be achieved simply and inexpensively without requiring upgrades to existing telephony, video conferencing and security systems. The solution must be transparent to existing voice and video features such as caller ID and E911.

Our Solution

The IPmux-1 TDMoIP gateway and IPmux-1E TDMoIP gateway with internal Ethernet switch option provide simple, integrated solutions to extend a full 100 Mbps Ethernet connection, as well as E1/T1, quad ISDN BRI or analog voice ports over single mode or multimode fiber. This solution differs from the more common CSU/DSU solution with integrated voice and LAN because with the IPmux TDMoIP gateway you get to use the full 100 Mbps, whereas the CSU/DSU must share the limited E1/T1 bandwidth for both voice and data.
