E3/T3 between Campus Locations over Gigabit Ethernet

Your Needs

Inexpensively extend E3/T3 circuits over a high bandwidth Ethernet network (e.g., Gigabit Ethernet). The E3/T3 circuits must be transparent to framing, protocols and signaling and therefore suitable to connect any TDM or packet-based equipment, including routers, bridges, M13 MUXES or DACS — without compromising features and functionality.

Our Solution

RAD's IPmux-16 can be used to extend single or dual E3/T3 circuits transparently over a high bandwidth IP or Ethernet network. These circuits are totally transparent to framing, signaling and protocols, including ATM, Frame Relay and PPP. Therefore the features and quality of traditional voice, video and data applications between locations is not compromised.

Notes

RAD’s M13 MUX, the Optimux-T3, complements this solution by allowing 21 E1s or 28 T1s (using the G.747 standard) to be extended over each T3 circuit.
