Eliminate the need to lease T1 lines for PBX PSTN connectivity at each school and administrative location. Centralize PSTN access and emulate T1 trunk connections between locations across a low-cost metro Ethernet that many school districts are already using for data connectivity.

Our Solution

T1 voice trunks from existing PBXs at all schools and administrative were “backhauled” onto a main PBX at the school district main administrative facility. RAD’s IPmux-16 and IPmux-1 TDMoIP® gateways enabled carrying the T1 circuits across a metro Ethernet. For maximum reliability and resiliency, redundant IPmux’s were installed at each main location. With 100% protocol and signaling transparency, all PBX functionality was preserved.
