Video Conferencing between Ethernet Locations

Your Needs

Video conferencing must be mobile to satisfy last minute moves and changes of location. This is especially important in an educational environment where rescheduling of lectures and classrooms is common. It is also required that traditional, high quality PRI/BRI-based video conferencing systems(H.320/H.324) that typically run on E1/T1 circuits are supported without compromising quality or feature transparency. The solution should take advantage of the Ethernet infrastructure and eliminate the need to waste time and money installing E1/T1 cables between buildings.

Our Solution

TDMoIP technology, as implemented in RAD’s IPmux product line, makes it possible to emulate E1/T1 circuits over an Ethernet infrastructure. This means that virtual E1/T1 circuits can be instantaneously created between lecture halls by simply plugging TDMoIP gateways into the campus LAN. Therefore, without incurring the expense of running dedicated E1/T1 circuits between lecture rooms, and without wasting time on new installations and setup, it is now possible to create transparent E1/T1 circuits for traditional video conferencing applications– without compromising quality.
