March 4, 2008: Amir Karo has been appointed Vice President of Marketing of RAD Data Communications.
Karo, 49, originally joined RAD in 1988 and since then has filled a series of positions in research and development and marketing, including several years at RAD's North American headquarters in New Jersey. Until his current appointment he had been serving as the company's Associate Vice President for Product Management and Business Development.
"RAD Data Communications has recently transformed itself from a vendor of discrete communications products into a supplier of comprehensive solutions for Tier 1 landline and cellular operators," Karo notes. "The change in positioning represents a significant challenge for the entire company, and I am pleased to take part and lead in formulating a marketing perception of RAD as a supplier of innovative communications solutions to the world's leading telecommunications operators."
Karo holds a B.Sc. in electronic engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel and an M.Sc. in engineering administration from the University of Bridgeport in the U.S.
