RAD's AirMux-200 enables you to connect two sites—at distances up to 12 miles/19 Km—with broadband wireless Ethernet and T1/E1 circuits all for under $3,000 a link. When used with the optional external antenna, the range extends for 80 Km/50 miles. The AirMux-200 offers up to 48 Mbps of radio bandwidth with full duplex throughput of up to 18 Mbps. This means you can transport 1 or 2 T1/E1 voice circuits and have ample bandwidth remaining for 10/100Base-T Ethernet traffic. When combined with RAD’s IPmux solutions, the AirMux-200 can scale to support 8 T1/E1 circuits plus Ethernet.

Rapid Return on Investment

The AirMux-200 pays for itself in no time by eliminating multiple leased line connections between buildings or the expense of burying fiber in the ground. Consider the following simple illustration:

Option A: Leased Lines Option B: AirMux-200 w/2 T1/E1

• 2 T1/E1 lines for PBX voice

• 1 T1/E1 for Ethernet

• T1/E1 cost = $200/mo

• Total cost = $7,200/yr.

• AirMux-200 cost = $2,990

• Self-Installed in 1 hour

Applications

With its affordable price and impressive capabilities, the AirMux-200 can be used in a variety of enterprise and service provider applications that were previously uneconomical for broadband wireless connections such as:

• Disaster recovery/backup facilities

• Remote site connectivity

• Backhauling of cellular traffic from base stations

• Broadband access to multi-tenant buildings

• Temporary or emergency site connectivity

Simple Set Up and Configuration

The AirMux-200 is simple to set up. Once mounted, a single person can align the antennas using audio feedback built right into the AirMux “outdoor units.” Software configurable automatic channel selection makes it simple to use an available frequency band within the license-free 5 GHz spectrum.
